TEMECULA, CA: The Planning Commission approved a conditional use permit application submitted by Ironfire Brewing Co, an under-construction brewery on Zevo Drive in northwestern Temecula.
Alcoholic Beverage Consulting Service in Murrieta coordinated efforts for Ironfire to obtain liquor licensing.
Ironfire requested the permit to sell tastings at its facility, which will have a western/industrial theme and a 700-square-foot tasting room.
Before that can happen, however, the owners must secure permission from the business center. Those negotiations are in the works, according to an Ironfire representative.
“Basically what we’re saying, it’s OK with us, go talk to your association,” said Commissioner John Telesio.
Ironfire President John Maino told the commission he and co-owner Greg Webb are looking to create jobs and be a part of the community.
“We just want to brew beer,” he said.
Ironfire, forged by men who worked together at Ballast Point in San Diego, is the second brewery approved by the commission this year.
